You will leave with the knowledge and reassurance of everything you need to know about looking after your hair piece and styling it at home. With over 35 years of hairdressing experience Mary can personalise all hair pieces to suit your individual needs. Each hairpiece will come constructed to fit all head shapes and most pieces come in a selection of sizes from petite to large.
During your fitting and styling appointment you will be shown step by step instructions on how to put on your hairpiece and how to adjust it to fit you perfectly.
Mary will give you tips and ideas on how to style your wig and care for it at home, (all home-care products are available in the clinic). It is important to know the difference between human and synthetic hair and the best choice to suit you. All hair pieces have different life spans and the quality of your wig will determine the longevity of it. There are numerous websites offering less expensive wigs for sale however, please be aware of the cap construction and make sure it is of a high quality and doesn’t cause irritation to your scalp. The material in a top quality hair piece should be free from heavy seams and made from either a monofilament top (shows a more realistic scalp ) or full lace.
